Hill Start Assist provides additional assistance when starting on a slope.

Activate and Use Hill Start Assist

When you stop the bike on a slope:

1. Make sure the bike is at ECO/AUTO/STD/TURBO assist level.

2. Press and hold the Assist button.

The display shows "Hill Start Assist".

Note: When display shows "Hill Start Assist". Releasing the Assist button is allowed.

3. Apply pedal force to activate Hill Start Assist.

Note: When Hill Start Assist is activated, the assist level cannot be changed using Up/Down button.

4. Keep applying pedal force while using Hill Start Assist.

Pause Hill Start Assist

Stop pedaling during Hill Assist to pause Hill Start Assist.

When Hill Start Assist is paused:

- The display shows "Hill Assist Paused", a 30s countdown pop-up.

- The bike provides a holding force to help prevent it from rolling backward, which is called Hill Hold state.

Resume Hill Start Assist

Apply pedal force again.

Return to normal riding

Exit Hill Start Assist and return to the selected assist level (ECO / AUTO / STD / TURBO) when:

- The bike reaches a speed of above 6 km/h.

Exit Hill Hold state and return to the selected assist level (ECO / AUTO / STD / TURBO) when:

- Hill Assist Paused timer expires.

- You press the Up button.

- The bike reaches a speed of 3 km/h.
