Record Your Ride with Your Vision Unit

This tutorial applies to L1s. Make sure Vision Unit is properly installed and connected first. Refer to the video guide at L1-Vision Unit Installation

Dashcam Recording

1. How to enable/ disable:

- On the display, tap [accessory management] > [TARRAN Vision Unit].

- Locate the [Dashcam Recording] option.

- Toggle the option on or off.

System Status:

- Once enabled, the dashcam automatically starts recording.

- The display top bar shows status icons of "Recording" or "Recording Failed "(Card Full).

- On the Riding Homepage，swipe right or switch views to see the live rear camera feed.

2. Dashcam Video Highlight

How to configure:

On the display

- Tap [accessory management] > [TARRAN Vision Unit].

- Locate the [Dashcam Saved] option.

- Enable your preferred scenario (Emergency Brake and Collision are enabled by default).

How highlighting tagging works:

- The camera keeps recording without interruption but adds a digital marker to the timestamp.

- When viewing on the App or PC, these highlights stand out on the progress bar.

- One video can have multiple tags and will not be overwritten.

3. Video Storage Mechanism

Videos are split into 3-minute clips and saved into specific MicroSD folders:

📁 TEMP Folder

- Type: Standard daily footage.

- Rule: Loop Overwrite. Automatically deletes the oldest files when storage is full. Non-permanent.

📁 DASHCAM Folder

• Type: Locked emergency videos (Braking/Collisions).
• Rule: Securely Locked. Never overwritten automatically. Must be deleted manually via App or PC to free up space.
