How to update the firmware for your Lumos Helmet?

Follow the steps below to install the Lumos Beta APP and upgrade your Lumos helmet firmware.

Step 1: Install the Lumos Beta APP on Your Phone

Note:

• The Lumos Beta APP is only used for firmware updates.
• You can keep the official Lumos APP installed on your phone.

For Android Phones:

Click the link to download the installation package, then install it on your mobile phone.

For iOS Phones:

1) Provide your Apple ID (used for the App Store) to TARRAN Support.

2) Once TARRAN Support receives your Apple ID, they will request Lumos Support to send you an invitation email.

3) After you receive the invitation email from Lumos, please click "Accept Invitation" and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the confirmation. Then, kindly notify TARRAN Support that you have accepted it.

4) Upon receiving your confirmation, Lumos Support will send you a second email.

5) In the second email, click "View in TestFlight" and follow the instructions to download and install the Lumos Beta APP.

Step 2: Upgrade Your Lumos Helmet Firmware via Lumos Beta APP

1） Open the Lumos Beta APP and pair your helmet with the app.

2) With the helmet powered off, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.

3) After pairing, tap the helmet icon on the home screen. You will see a notification that a new firmware update is available.

4) Tap "Update Firmware" and follow the prompts to complete the upgrade process.

5) Once the upgrade is finished, please verify the firmware version is V2.1 (x). You may then refer to the guide in the link and pair your helmet with your TARRAN bike.
