How to Safely Charge Your TARRAN E-Bike?

Applicable models: L1s&m, T1 Pro
Both models support charging with the battery installed or removed. Use the correct charger and follow the steps for your model.
Key reminder: Never leave a charging battery unattended. Do not charge while sleeping or away from home.

Check the Charger and Battery

- L1s&m: Use the original supplied charger or the optional TARRAN 8 A GaN Fast Charger approved for L1s&m.
- T1 Pro: Use the original charger supplied for T1 Pro.

Do not interchange chargers between models or assume compatibility because a plug fits.
Check the battery, charger, cables, and plugs. Do not use damaged equipment. Stop using the battery if it is swollen, leaking, or emitting an unusual smell.

Check the Location and Temperature

Choose a dry, well-ventilated location.
- Keep the charger away from rain, moisture, heat sources, and flammable materials.
- Do not place it on paper or textiles.
- Keep the charging ports on both the bike and battery dry.
- Make sure the outlet voltage matches the charger nameplate.
Charge at 0–40°C (32–104°F). This range applies to the L1s&m battery and to the T1 Pro battery when used with its supplied charger. Follow any stricter limits specified for your charger.

Connect in the Correct Order

L1s&m

1. Connect the power cable to the charger.

2. Connect the charger plug to the bike’s charging port, or directly to the removed battery.

3. Plug the power cable into a working wall outlet.

T1 Pro

1. Connect the power cable to the charger.

2. Plug the power cable into a working wall outlet.

3. Connect the charger plug to the bike’s charging port, or directly to the removed battery.

4. Monitor and Finish Charging

Check charging indicators

Stay nearby and check the charging indicators. The normal charging light differs by model:
- L1s&m: Solid red means charging; solid green means fully charged.
- T1 Pro: Solid yellow-green means charging. Solid green can mean fully charged or that the charger is not connected, so check the battery connection too.
When charging is complete, disconnect the charger. Do not leave the battery connected unnecessarily.
If a fault indicator appears, stop charging and follow the troubleshooting instructions for your charger. Contact TARRAN Support if the issue persists.
