Applicable models: L1s&m (693 Wh), T1 Pro (708 Wh)
Not using your bike for an extended period? Prepare the battery for storage and check its charge as described below.
Key reminder: Never store the battery fully discharged or leave it connected to the charger.
Prepare the Battery
Switch off the bike and remove the battery. Check its charge level before storage:
-
L1s&m: Three charge indicator LEDs on.
-
T1 Pro: Three charge indicator LEDs on.
Press the button near the battery’s charging port to check the LEDs while the battery is not charging.
Choose a Storage Location
Keep the battery in a clean, dry, well-ventilated indoor location, ideally at 10–20°C (50–68°F).
-
Protect it from moisture and direct sunlight.
-
Keep it away from heat sources and flammable materials.
-
Choose a location with a working smoke alarm.
-
Keep metal objects, such as keys and coins, away from the battery contacts.
The permitted storage temperature range depends on storage duration. Follow your battery manual if storing outside the ideal range.
Check the Charge During Storage
Check every three months.
For either model, if only one charge indicator LED lights up, recharge to three LED lights, then disconnect the charger.
Use only the original TARRAN charger approved for your model. Follow
when topping up.
If the battery shows damage, swelling, leakage, or an unusual smell, stop using it and contact TARRAN Support.
